About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Montessori Teacher for our Primary (3-6 years) classroom. The ideal candidate will create a prepared Montessori environment, guide children through hands-on learning experiences, and support their development in a respectful, child-led setting.
Key Responsibilities:
🌱 Create & Maintain the Montessori Environment – Design an inviting, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom that follows Montessori principles.
📚 Curriculum Implementation – Present Montessori lessons across Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural subjects, adapting to individual learning styles.
💡 Foster Independence & Growth – Encourage curiosity, self-discipline, and problem-solving skills through child-led activities.
🤝 Collaboration & Communication – Partner with families, assistants, and staff to support each child’s growth. Maintain open communication with parents through conferences and progress reports.
🌎 Classroom Management – Guide children in peaceful conflict resolution and model respectful behavior in alignment with Montessori philosophy.
📋 Record Keeping & Observation – Track student progress, document observations, and adjust lessons as needed to support individualized learning.
Requirements
✔️ Montessori Certification preferred but not required (AMS, AMI, or MACTE-accredited program)
✔️ Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a Montessori or early childhood setting
✔️ Strong classroom management and leadership skills
✔️ Passion for early childhood education and child-led learning
✔️ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
✔️ Ability to foster a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
✔️ KDHE Foundations of Health and Safety Course (Training provided)
✔️ CPR & First Aid Certification (Training provided)
