About the Role
Leads the daily operations of the infant classroom while fostering a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting (lead teacher experience preferred).
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Completion of all required KDHE training and annual professional development requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate caregiving practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in all aspects of classroom care, including lifting, carrying, bending, sitting on the floor, and outdoor supervision.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Must successfully pass all required background checks and health assessments in accordance with KDHE regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Montessori training or certification.
Experience leading a classroom and mentoring assistant teachers.
Familiarity with Brightwheel or other childcare management software.
Passion for child-led learning and family-centered care.
